আমরা তো ছোটবেলা থেকে অনেক অঙ্ক করি। তারপরও কেন যেনো আমাদের অনেকের এ বিষয়ে ব্যুৎপত্তি হয় না। গণিত অনেকের কাছে একটা ভয়ের বিষয় হয়েই থাকে! আমরা এ বিষয়টি নিয়ে অনেক ভেবেছি। আমরা দেখেছি, শিক্ষার্থীরা সমস্যা সমাধানের পদ্ধতি যাও কিছুটা শেখে, তার কারণগুলো সেভাবে উপলব্ধি করে না কিংবা তাদেরকে শেখানোর পথটাও দেখানো হয় না। ফলস্বরূপ, একাডেমিক কিংবা যেকোনো প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষায় ভিন্ন ধাঁচের সমস্যা সমাধানে শিক্ষার্থীদের বেশ বেগ পেতে হয়।
তিন মাস ব্যাপী ওয়ার্কশপের পর্ব-০২ এর কার্যক্রম শুরু হবে আগামী জুন মাসের মাঝামাঝি থেকে, চলবে এ বছরের আগস্ট মাস পর্যন্ত। প্রতি সপ্তাহে দুইটি করে সেশন থাকবে। সেশনগুলো হবে তাত্ত্বিক বা থিওরি, সমস্যা সমাধান ও মক পরীক্ষার সমন্বয়ে। গণিত অলিম্পিয়াডের সাথে জড়িত অভিজ্ঞ প্রশিক্ষকবৃন্দ সেশনগুলো পরিচালনা করবেন।
Since our childhood, we have solved a lot of math problems. Yet many of us do not have a proper understanding of it. If we put it right, mathematics is a scary subject for many students.We have thought a lot about this issue (or the whole ‘fear’ event). Our primary observation is that many of our students do not perceive the idea of solving a math problem in a particular way. There must be a reason why we take a path while solving a problem. Again, a problem may have multiple logical ways to reach the answer, and this part is the true beauty of math. Our fellow learners are often unaware of these facts as they do not get the opportunity to understand mathematics. As a result, they continuously face trouble in academic life and other competitive environments (like Math Olympiad).

সংখ্যা থেকে Geometry
গণিতে যেসব মূল বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয় (যেমন: বীজগণিত, জ্যামিতি, পাটিগণিত, ত্রিকোণমিতি ইত্যাদি), এদের প্রত্যেকটিই একে অপরের সাথে নিবিড়ভাবে সম্পর্কিত। জ্যামিতির কথাই ধরা যাক; জ্যামিতিতে আমরা ত্রিভুজ কিংবা চতুর্ভুজ সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্ন উপপাদ্যের সাথে পরিচিত হই যেখানে সংখ্যা বা বীজগণিতের অনেক ধারণার প্রয়োগ হয়, পীথাগোরাসের উপপাদ্য থেকে আমরা নিমিষেই বলে দিতে পারি যে, যেকোনো সমকোণী ত্রিভুজের তিনবাহুর দৈর্ঘ্যই বিজোড় সংখ্যা হওয়া সম্ভব না! আবার, জ্যামিতির সদৃশতা সম্পর্কিত সমস্যা সমাধানে অনুপাতের বিভিন্ন বৈশিষ্ট্য জানা থাকা লাগে। এভাবে আরও অজস্র উদাহরণ দেয়া যায় যেখানে একটি সমস্যা সমাধানের জন্য একইসাথে একাধিক বিষয়ের জ্ঞান প্রয়োগ করতে হয়!
এ ব্যাপারগুলোকে সামনে রেখে ৮ম-১২শ শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বাংলার ম্যাথ নিয়ে আসছে “সংখ্যা থেকে জিওমেট্রি” নামের ৮ সপ্তাহব্যাপী ওয়ার্কশপ। এই ওয়ার্কশপটিতে সংখ্যা এবং জ্যামিতির বিভিন্ন ধারণার পাশাপাশি এদের মধ্যকার সম্পর্কগুলো নিয়ে বিশদ আলোচনা করা হবে। এখানে অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীরা সংখ্যা ও জ্যামিতি সম্পর্কিত সমস্যাকে নতুন আঙ্গিকে চিন্তা করতে শিখবে যা পরবর্তীতে তাদেরকে একাডেমিক ও বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষায় ভালো করতে সহায়তা করবে।
ওয়ার্কশপটি শুরু হবে ডিসেম্বরের ১১ তারিখ থেকে। ৮ সপ্তাহব্যাপী এই ওয়ার্কশপে প্রতি সপ্তাহে ৩ টি করে সেশন থাকবে। প্রতি সপ্তাহের রবিবার, মঙ্গলবার এবং বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যা ৬ টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত সেশনগুলো অনলাইনে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। একাডেমিক সেশন ছাড়াও থাকবে নিজেকে যাচাই করার জন্য মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষা এবং অনুশীলনের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত গাণিতিক সমস্যার তালিকা।
The fundamental topics discussed in mathematics (such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, etc.), are highly interlinked with each other in many ways. Consider geometry; In geometry, we do introduce various theorems related to triangles or quadrilaterals, where different concepts of numbers or algebra are applied. Again, from Pythagoras’s theorem, we can intuitively conclude that the lengths of the three sides of any right triangle cannot be odd numbers! Further, geometric problems based on Similarity require an understanding of the basic concepts of proportion. We can name hundreds of topics this way, where the idea of multiple areas must be applied simultaneously to solve an individual problem.
To address these things, ‘Banglar Math’ brings an 8-week-long workshop titled “Number2Geometry” to the students of Grade-8 to Grade-12. The primary objective of this workshop is to discuss the topics “Number” and “Geometry” and their relationship. The workshop will provide the learners with a new problem-solving perspective that will help them to excel in academic and competitive exams.
This 8-week-long workshop will start on 11th December 2022. The sessions will be held “Online” 3 times a week (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 6 pm to 8 pm. Apart from the academic session, there will be scope for self-assessment exams and a good collection of problem sets. All sessions will conduct by the renowned instructors of the “Math Olympiad”.

Idea Hackathon: Kit to Teach
গণিত বিষয়টি অনেকের কাছে যেমন ভয়ের ঠিক তেমনি অনেকের কাছে আনন্দের। ৮-১৪ বছর বয়সী শিক্ষার্থীদের অঙ্ক শেখার মূল চ্যালেঞ্জ হল, তারা যোগ-বিয়োগ-গুণ ও ভাগের মূল ধারণাটা বুঝতে পারে না। প্রক্রিয়া একবার শিখলেও খাতা কলমে একই অঙ্ক বার বার করতে করতে ত্যক্ত বিরক্ত হয়ে শেষমেষ অঙ্ক করাই ছেড়ে দিতে হয়।
তাই বাংলার ম্যাথ শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য আনন্দদায়ক কিছু শিখন উপকরণ নিয়ে কাজ করছে, যাতে ৮-১৪ বছর বয়সী শিক্ষার্থীরা খেলাচ্ছলেই শিখে যায়, গণিতের নানা কিছু। তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় বাংলার ম্যাথ এর সৌজন্যে বুয়েট ব্রেইন টিজার ক্লাব নিয়ে এলো Idea Hackathon: kit to Teach

Is this a camp for beginners?
Topics incorporate the fundamental concepts of Number theory, Algebra, geometry, Game theory, Mathematics of DIY, and many more for the learners aged between 9-14 years. The art of solving problems is the primary focus while embarking on any concept. Each topic will be discussed from scratch to a broad spectrum. So, the program is designed for inquisitive learners who may be a beginner but wants to go far.
How long each session will be?
Each session will last for max. 2 hours. There will be a break between the sessions.
Do I need to send the registration fee before submitting the form??
Yes. You have to use your transaction id (you’ll get that immediately after payment) in the registration form. Without that, you can’t submit the form.
